RendrPix Privacy Policy

Who we are
RendrPix is a photo effects app published by RendrLab Limited ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described below.
You can write to us at 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.
RendrLab Limited is currently being incorporated in England and Wales. Its company number will be published here as soon as incorporation completes.
If you have any question about this policy, contact us at privacy@rendrlab.com.
Your photos stay on your device
RendrPix processes your photos entirely on your phone. When you choose a photo, apply a filter, and save the result, none of it is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Rendering happens on your device using its graphics hardware.
The photos you pick, the images RendrPix creates, and any designs you save are stored only in the app's own storage on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them.
What we collect
You can browse the catalogue and use the free filters without signing in, and you never have to give us your name or email to use the app.
The app does create an anonymous identifier for your installation. It is a random string. It is not linked to your name, your email or your device, we cannot use it to identify you, and it exists so a problem report can be tied to the conversation about it and so the service can be protected from abuse.
The identifier is deleted automatically after 30 days without use.
If you choose to sign in with an email address or with Google, we also store:
- your account identifier, email address, display name and profile photo URL, as provided by the sign-in method you chose
- the times your account was created, last updated and last signed in
- your subscription status and any promotional access granted to you
If you report a problem
The app has a way to tell us when something is wrong. Sending a report is entirely your choice: nothing is sent unless you write a message and tap send.
A report includes what you wrote, and technical details that help us reproduce the fault:
- the app version and which build you are running
- your device model and Android version
- your language setting
- which screen you were on and which filter was open
- the anonymous identifier for your installation
What a report never includes
Your photos. A report never contains the image you were working on and never contains anything from your gallery. You can see the full list of technical details before you send, and you can send your message without them.
We use reports only to find and fix faults, and to reply to you if you asked us something. We never use them for marketing.
What we do not collect
RendrPix contains no analytics, no advertising, no automatic crash reporting and no third-party tracking. Nothing about how you use the app is collected in the background. The only technical information that ever reaches us is what you send with a problem report, and only at the moment you send one.
We do not build a profile of you, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell personal data.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your account information to sign you in and to keep your access to paid features working across sessions and devices. Our legal basis is performance of a contract with you: without it we cannot provide an account or honour a subscription.
We use problem reports to fix faults in the app. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in making the product work correctly. You can object by simply not sending a report, and you can ask us to delete one you have already sent.
Where your data is stored
Account information and problem reports are stored using Google Firebase, in Google Cloud data centres in the European Union. Google acts as our data processor and does not use this information for its own purposes.
The text of a report and its technical details are also copied into our issue tracker, hosted by GitHub, so the fault can be followed through to a fix. That copy carries no identifier for you or your installation - only a reference to the report itself.
If you subscribe, your payment is handled by Google Play. We never see or store your card details. We receive only confirmation that a subscription is active.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your account record and entitlement history. Some records may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.
We keep problem reports for up to 12 months after the fault is fixed, so we can recognise the same fault if it returns, and then delete them. The anonymous identifier attached to a report stops referring to anything once the identifier itself is deleted.
Your rights
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time, under Account, without asking us first. That removes your account record and your subscription history immediately and permanently.
Under UK and EU data protection law you can also ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@rendrlab.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
RendrPix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date below and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app. This policy was last updated on 31 August 2026.
